What You Can Do

Advocacy is not something for professionals to do while the rest of us are silent. Advocacy is both a right and a responsibility that we all share as citizens in a democracy. For our kids’ sake, speak out. Write your elected officials and ask them what they are doing to help homeless youth. Mention our Covenant House kids at your church or synagogue. Hire one of our kids to work at your business. If every adult in California helped one child get off the street or kept one youth from reaching the street, we could close our doors and move on to other challenges. Nothing would please us more. Until that great day comes, however, join us in our fight to save our California youth from a life on the street.
