Seymour Hersh, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, will deliver the keynote address as the first speaker in the Herman Schwartz Lecture Series. Mr. Hersh is widely acknowledged as the most influential and acclaimed investigative reporter of the past 35 years. He is a regular contributor to “The New Yorker” on military and security matters and most recently uncovered the details of the Abu Ghraib prison abuse in Iraq.
Bradley Whitford, Emmy Award-winning actor, will receive the 2007 Champion of Justice Award. AFJ is pleased to honor Mr. Whitford for his longtime commitment to social justice and, particularly, for his narration of AFJ’s First Monday film series. He is a critically acclaimed film, theater, and television actor that has starred in Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and The West Wing.
