On behalf of the California School Boards Association, we would like to thank you for taking action to contact members of the Senate Judiciary Committee and urging them to support AB 572 (Brownley).  With your help, this bill passed out of the committee on a 3-2 vote and will be heard on the Senate Floor within the next few weeks.  This bill is the first step to ensure that charter schools comply with conflict-of-interest restrictions that are currently applicable to traditional public schools.  We appreciate your support, not only for the schools but for the children and communities that are impacted by this measure.
