We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit WildAlert.

The short explanation of this alert was:

The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is an astounding place unequalled anywhere else on earth.  Its coastal plain – the biological heart of the refuge – is nesting, calving and staging ground for millions of birds and thousands of caribou, as well as shaggy muskoxen, grizzly, wolverine, polar bears, and many other species of wildlife.

To provide permanent protection for this precious resource, members of the House and Senate have introduced legislation to designate the Coastal Plain as Wilderness.  Please take a moment to ask your Senators and Representative to co-sponsor the legislation.
