Background
The Philadelphia Cultural Fund (PCF) is currently at $2.1 million and it supports over 220 organizations. In 2003, as a means to keep pace with its growing number of awardees, the Cultural Fund’s board began working toward the 5-year goal of seeing the fund increase annually in increments of $650,000 to be at a $5 million appropriation. If City Council approves the Mayor’s proposal, PCF will be 82 percent closer to its 2008 goal.
