President Obama has been totally silent on AIDS.

It is estimated that there are now 56,000 new HIV infections each year in the U.S. - a 40% increase from last year. These numbers symbolize the profound failure of U.S. HIV prevention effort and the need for forceful and effective leadership.

Despite his silence on AIDS since taking office, we remain hopeful that President Obama will do the right thing and take strong action to address the HIV/AIDS crisis.
