Campaign Unavailable We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit C3: Colorectal Cancer Coalition. The short explanation of this alert was: Contact your U.S. Senators NOWUnited States Senators Arlen Specter (R-PA) and Tom Harkin (D-IA) have introduced a budget amendment that would provide an additional $2.2 billion dollars for health programs in America. That would be a crucial first step in securing more money for cancer research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and for cancer programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including the Colorectal Cancer Screening, Education, and Outreach Initiative. We are asking you to contact your two Senators and ask them to vote yes on the Specter/Harkin amendment in order to provide for a much needed increase in funding for health programs. Additional funding would mean more research and fewer deaths from colorectal cancer. Senators are expected vote on this amendment this Friday (March 23), so you need to take action RIGHT NOW!
