The North American Equipment Dealers Association (NAEDA) was founded September 21, 1900. Founded as the National Federation of Retail Implement & Vehicle Dealers' Association, the association was organized as a result of dealer protests regarding the marketing practices of manufacturers of harvesting equipment. Although state and regional dealer associations pre-dated NAEDA, dealers believed they would be more effective as a group if their concerns were expressed through a national office. Today, NAEDA is affiliated with 18 state regional and provincial associations. Of the 18 affiliates, three are in Canada. Together, NAEDA and its affiliates provide a variety of educational, financial and legislative services to equipment dealers in the United States and Canada.
