Help Stop Government Spying On Our Phone Records!
AT&T, Verizon and other phone companies may be helping the government spy on innocent Americans by turning over details about our private telephone calls to the National Security Agency.
Millions of Americans may have had their telephone records monitored and their privacy invaded.
Please sign the petition below asking Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, New York's Public Services Commission and the Consumer Protection Board to investigate this potentially unprecedented invasion of our privacy!
After completing the petition please remember to send a copy to your friends and family!

Subject: Protect Our Private Phone Records!
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
The undersigned join the New York Civil Liberties Union in its call for an investigation into allegations that AT&T and Verizon have improperly shared our telephone records with the National Security Agency.
Recent news reports reveal that these New York telephone service providers have provided the NSA with the personal calling details of their customers.
We support the NYCLU's request that the three New York State government agencies charged with safeguarding consumers from wrongdoing by utility companies -- the Attorney General's Office, the Public Services Commission, and the Consumer Protection Board -- investigate this very serious invasion of our privacy and order the telephone companies to end this practice.
