Employee Free Choice Act

Urge your U.S. Senators to support the Employee Free Choice Act!!!

  • OEA supports the Employee Free Choice Act, which protects workers' rights to organize and join a union without harassment or retaliation from employers.
  • It has three key provisions: 1) Require employers to recognize a union if a majority of workers sign authorization cards saying they want union representation; 2) Provide mediation and arbitration for first contract disputes; 3) Strengthen penalties for companies that illegally intimidate employees to prevent them from forming a union.
  • Contact your U.S. Senators and help hold anti-union employers accountable, guarantee workers a free and fair chance to form a union, and force employers to stop dragging out contract negotiations.
