Course Objectives:
* Renew PALS certification- Students who would like to participate in PALS Provider renewal course must have successfully completed the original PALS course and will need to provide thier PALS card. In addition, students are encouraged to read the Textbook of Pediatric Advanced Life Support in preperation for the PALS Provider renewal course. Please note- we are unable to accomodate PALS renewals if a card is not provided per American Heart Association requirements.
* Increase the knowledge and skills of health care providers in assessment of and intervention in pediatric emergencies
* Focuses on the evaluation, diagnosis and initiation of treatment of many pediatric medical and surgical emergencies during stablization in the clinic or emergency department
