Don't Let HHS Restrict Access to Contraception

The Department of Health and Human Services wants to greatly increase the number of healthcare providers who can refuse to provide reproductive services to women.

If HHS has its way, new regulations would let institutions and individuals deny women highly effective contraceptives like the IUD and withhold information from patients about their contraceptive options.

We can't let this happen! Congress has the power to stop these new HHS regulations.

Tell Congress to block HHS' regulations and protect women's access to reproductive healthcare.

Subject: Oppose HHS regulations limiting women's access to contraception

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

Please act to block regulations from the Department of Health and Human Services that would greatly increase the number of healthcare providers who can refuse to provide reproductive services to women. The New York Times has coverage of the regulations: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/15/washington/15rule.html

If enacted, the regulations would let institutions and individuals deny women some of the most effective forms of birth control and withhold information from patients about their contraceptive options. By drastically expanding the rules about who can refuse to provide reproductive services, HHS is placing politics over medicine.

Don't let this happen! Please let me know what action you will take to stop the regulations.

Sincerely,
