Dear [ Decision Maker ] , Women and families depend on comprehensive reproductive health care to stay healthy and safe. Under health care reform, every patient -- in any private or public plan -- must have affordable coverage for all reproductive health services. To ensure that patients receive the reproductive health care they need, health reform must enable physicians to provide coordinated, integrated, patient-centered, primary health care. Without these changes and coverage for reproductive health care, health reform will leave millions of women behind.

Four committees in the House and Senate have voted on health care reform bills and amendments to the bills so far. Numerous amendments would have restricted access to abortion, contraception, and other reproductive health services.
Many PRCH members and supporters called their senators and representatives to urge them to vote against the amendments. All but the most inconsequential of these amendments were defeated.
Physicians' voices have made a difference, but the fight is not over.
Members of Congress go home in August to hear from their constituents. We must keep up the pressure to enact health reform that protects and expands reproductive health care.
