Greetings,
Community members gather at a campaign meeting earlier this
year
 |
|
Donate or volunteer today
to help our friends who have fallen victim to San Diego
wildfires! |
Since I
began working with the Sierra Club's San Diego Smart Energy
Solutions Campaign in June, I have met many wonderful people
from our local communities. Not only have they proven to be
tireless advocates, they have become great
friends.
Today, our friends need our help.
As San Diego faces one of the worst fires in our
history, many of our neighbors, friends and coalition partners
are in great need. Some are unable to return home, or are
wondering what they will have left to return to. Others have
lost everything, and are facing the monumental task of starting
fresh to rebuild.
Can you show your support for our friends today by
making a donation or volunteering your time? Helpful
details are below:

- Travel directly to Qualcomm Stadium:
Volunteers can register at the Security office. The biggest need
is in the evenings. Qualcomm is located at 9449
Friars Rd, San Diego, CA.
- Contact the Del Mar Fairgrounds:
potential volunteers are advised to call 858-755-1165. The Del
Mar Fairgrounds are located at 2260 Jimmy Durante
Blvd.
As we pull through this very difficult time, a small
gesture of help from a fellow San Diegan can lift the spirit and
also reassure our friends, neighbors and campaign partners
that we are all in this together.
Best,
Micah
