I have an exciting volunteer opportunity to tell you about! The San Diego Smart Energy Solutions campaign to protect Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, the Cleveland National Forest and local communities from SDG&E's unnecessary, destructive Sunrise Powerlink proposal will have a booth at this year's Earth Day Fair in Balboa Park and we are looking for volunteers to lend a hand. The San Diego Earth Day Fair is the oldest and largest in the nation. It is also a critical opportunity for us to expand our growing list of Smart Energy activists. At our booth, we'll hand out literature, take pictures and collect signed postcards asking Governor Schwarzenegger to protect local communities, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and the Cleveland National Forest from the fossil-fueled, global warming Sunrise Powerlink! Because thousands of people attend the Earth Day Fair, I need your help to make sure we let as many people as possible know that San Diego has smarter energy solutions than this damaging transmission line.
