San Diego Smart Energy Solutions Campaign

Greetings,

Expert David Hogan of the Center for Biological Diversity Will Lead our April Advocacy Hike at Barnett Ranch Open Space Preserve, One of the Many Protected Areas that Would be Devastated by the Intrusive, Global Warming Sunrise Powerlink

Attend a Sunrise Powerlink Advocacy Hike and Remember to Bring a Friend! RSVP by emailing Micah at mmitrosky@sierraclubsandiego.org or calling 619-299-1797.

Just a friendly reminder that this Saturday, the San Diego Smart Energy Solutions campaign to protect Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, the Cleveland National Forest and local communities from SDG&E's unnecessary Sunrise Powerlink will host an advocacy hike.  Expert David Hogan of the Center for Biological Diversity will take us on a tour of Barnett Ranch Open Space Preserve, one of the protected open spaces that could be devastated by this destructive proposal.

In the spirit of John Muir, who often brought people to see the special natural areas he worked to protect, we are not only inviting you to attend this fun and informative hike, but to bring along a friend, family member, neighbor or colleague as well!

This relatively flat hike is approximately two miles round-trip and offers views of where towers could be constructed. We'll enjoy wide open scenery, rolling green hills and wildflowers. It will be a great way to start a Saturday morning. More details are below.
